{"id":1271,"date":"2012-12-11T20:24:03","date_gmt":"2012-12-12T03:24:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/?p=1271"},"modified":"2013-01-14T22:27:40","modified_gmt":"2013-01-15T05:27:40","slug":"shna-board-meeting-minutes-12092012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/?p=1271","title":{"rendered":"SHNA BOARD MEETING MINUTES \u201312\/09\/2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>Board Members Present:<\/strong> Gordon Reiselt, Rich Braziel, Matt Sexton, Elizabeth Doak, Jim Montalbano. <a title=\"Sign-in Sheet\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/2012-12-09-Sign-in-Sheet-Attachment-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Attachment 1<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Guests:<\/strong>Katy Braziel, Pete Dinelli, Jim Summers, Rainie Perez, &amp; Robert Stembridge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting called to order:<\/strong> 7:10pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interm Appointment District 2<\/strong> \u2013 MayorBerry has appointed Roxanne Myers to fill Debra O\u2019Malley\u2019s position instead of Ike Benton.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Central Avenue Neon Design Overlay Zone:<\/strong>\u00a0 The City is proposing to encourage\u00a0the use of Neon along Central between Tramway and 118th Street to tie back to the historical Route 66. \u00a0SHNA will participate. <a title=\"Central Ave Neon\" href=\"2\thttp:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/2012-12-09-Central-Avenue-Neon-Design-Overlay-Zone-Attachment-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Attachment 2<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>November Meeting Minutes:<\/strong> November Board Meeting Minutes were approved unanimously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pete Dinelli Running for Mayor:<\/strong> Pete Dinelli spoke at the meeting about his intention to run for mayor.\u00a0 He provided information about himself and his public service. He is contacting neighborhood associations, police associations &amp; fire fighters unions, &amp; Legal community.\u00a0 He will be focusing on crime and economic development job growth.\u00a0 Other states around NM have been growing jobs but Albuquerque is not under Mayor Berry. He listened to SHNA Issues with the City of Albuquerque including crime, planning, zoning, parks, &amp; legal. He mentioned that there will be a \u201cTrue Majority\u201d ballot initative on in March 2013. Positions that will need to be filled include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secretary -Richard Braziel(will continue to serve if nominated and elected)<\/li>\n<li>IT \u2013Matt Sexton(will not continue to serve)<\/li>\n<li>Vice President \u2013Jim Montalbano(will continue to serve if nominated and elected)<\/li>\n<li>Board Member \u2013Craig Wallace<\/li>\n<li>Board Member \u2013Maria Lozano<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Zoning Issues:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1424 Silver:<\/strong> This property has been purchased by Bob Stembridge.\u00a0 He plans on restoring the house and would like to update and rent the apartment. \u00a0He was advised to contact City Planning to determine what he can do within current zoning.\u00a0 SHNA\u2019s position is to ask the City to enforce all zoning ordinances.\u00a0 Bob was told about the NM Historic Tax Credit and several board members volunteered to help him through the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasure&#8217;s Report:<\/strong> Elizabeth Doak presented the report.\u00a0 <a title=\"Treasure's Report - Attachment 4\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/2012-12-11-SHNA-Treasure-Report-Dec-12-Attachment-4.doc\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Attachment 4<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting adjourned:<\/strong> 8:47 pm<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Board Members Present: Gordon Reiselt, Rich Braziel, Matt Sexton, Elizabeth Doak, Jim Montalbano.
