Board Members Present:<\/strong> Gordon Reiselt, Rich Braziel, Matt Sexton, Elizabeth Doak, Jim Montalbano Craig Wallace, & Tom Ocken. Attachment 1<\/em><\/a>

\nMeeting called to order:<\/strong> 7:00pm
\nDecember Meeting Minutes:<\/strong> Approved with corrections
\nElection of Officers:<\/strong>\u00a0 500 flyers were posted on properties throughout the neighborhood and notice was posted on our website by 12\/7\/12 (30 days prior to the Annual Meeting). After discussion the new officers were elected unanimously.
\n\u2022 Secretary \u2013Richard Braziel was re-elected as Secretary
\n\u2022 IT \u2013 Matt Sexton cannot continue to serve as IT Board Member. Due to the lack of interest in filling this position we decide to leave it vacant while we search for someone to fill this position.
\n\u2022 Vice President \u2013 Jim Montalbano was re-elected as Vice President
\n\u2022 Board Member \u2013 Craig Wallace was re-elected as Board Member
\n\u2022 Board Member \u2013 Bob Stembridge was elected to replacing retiring board member Maria Lozano
\nZoning Issues:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Nob Hill\/Highlands Sector Development Plan:<\/strong> The EPC has deferred their hearing on the Text Amendment.
\n\u2022 1502 Silver:<\/strong> Nathaniel Sims wrote an email to Elizabeth Doak saying that \u201cThey (Zoning) have already told me (Nate) that you (SHNA) don’t have a single legal leg to stand on\u2026\u201d Nate feels he is being attacked and asking SHNA to be more neighborly and not to continue to ask the City to enforce Zoning Code. SHNA has asked the City for a declaratory ruling and the Board has decided to await this ruling.
\n\u2022 312-314 Mesa:<\/strong> Certificate of Appropriateness issued by Mary Hennessey for improvements to windows, steps, stucco, & more. Attachment 2<\/em><\/a>
\nMartin Luther King Celebration and Parade:<\/strong> The 29th annual Celebration and Parade is being held on Sunday January 20, 2013. Attachment 3<\/em><\/a>
\nTreasure\u2019s Report:<\/b> Elizabeth Doak presented the treasure\u2019s report, Attachment 4<\/i><\/a>, and the Membership list. Attachment 5<\/i><\/a><\/p>\n

Mayor\u2019s Neighborhood President Forum:<\/strong> Gordon will attend on Saturday January 26, 2013.
\nContribution:<\/strong> Breaking Bad productions has contributed $100 to the SHNA
\nLead\/Coal Upgrade:<\/strong> Gordon will write a letter to the Huning Highlands Neighborhood Association saying SHNA supports the Lead\/Coal Upgrade Extension from I-25 to Broadway.
\nYale Tree Rescue Project:<\/strong> The City has set aside the money for the Yale Tree Rescue Project and retained Baker, Reardon, & Morrow Architects to lead the effort. The sprinkler system needs to be fixed and the dead trees will need to be replaced. Katy will call Liz Reardon about 8 trees on Silver and Gold that also need to be replaced. Katy has been working with the Parks Department since early last year and in November 2012 they promised new trees will be installed by the end of January 2013.
\nLuminaries:<\/strong> Craig Wallace and Robert Stembridge did a great job of spearheading this year\u2019s effort. The luminaries were expanded along university and Yale to celebrate the work done in these areas. Unfortunately they were blown out by the vehicles at traveling at high speeds. There are 100 candles left and lots of bags. Several residents have saved their bags for reuse and some still have candles. This is always an expensive project costing about $500 and hopefully the remaining bags and candles this will make it less expensive next year. Craig Wallace will keep the bags and candles he has now and everyone that also has bags and candles left over will send Craig a note of what they are holding.
