They will also prohibit school parking on the north side of Lead. The property owner and the City agreed the rezoning would include language that requires any changes of use in the future will require an entire new zoning change request. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; margin-left: 0in; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black;\">1806 Gold SE Facilitated Meeting: <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\">The owner is requesting a variance to the side set backs to allow him to enlarge his duplex. This appears to only impact the immediate neighbor\u2019s house, which is on the market at this time.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Sight lines are not impacted.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gordon suggested he contact the owner of that property to get their support for his request.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The owner appears to be making an effort to improve his property.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gordon explained that he had to justify to the City why his property is exceptional to qualify for a variance to the zoning code.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; margin-left: 0in; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black;\">Officer Appreciation Cookout:<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"> SHNA offered to provide a $75 gift coupon for the Officer Appreciation Cookout and Gordon has called 3 times to get someone to pick it up and also offered to drop it off.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>To date Gordon has not gotten a response. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; margin-left: 0in; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black;\">City vehicle Towing: <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\">Several people shared their experiences with having their cars towed after an accident or when their cars have been stolen.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It appears that Albuquerque Police are making one call to the owners and if they do not immediately make contact are having the cars towed.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It was felt that if the vehicles weren\u2019t impeding traffic that the police could allow more time for the vehicle owner to react and take responsibility for moving the vehicle. The cost of having your vehicle towed is very high and the towing companies have horrible customer service and only accept cash. Doug Lutz stated that he gets complaints about this all the time and would bring it up with the Mayor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-bottom: 6.0pt; margin-left: 0in; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black;\">Parking Permits:<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>There has been a change in the number of parking permits COA will allow each property. Terry Apodaca is an owner-occupant who brought this to our attention when she was denied a permit for her ex-husband who resides with her at 2100 Gold SE. Numerous other residents have also experienced difficulty.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Terry Apodaca asked 4 different times to see and\/or get a copy of the ordinance the City is using to determine the number of parking permits they will be issuing.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The City Parking Department has not responded to these requests. Doug Lutz offered to get a copy of the ordinance sent to Gordon.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The SHNA will review the ordinance and prepare an evaluation of the effectiveness of the ordinance and an opinion as to whether the current policy is in compliance with the ordinance. <span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>The SHNA will then communicate our finding to the Doug Lutz and the Parking Permit Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black;\">Meeting adjourned:<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia; color: black; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>8:10 pm<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Board Members Present: Gordon Reiselt, Rich Braziel, Jim Montalbano, Craig Wallace, &amp; Robert Stembridge, Elizabeth Doak.
