{"id":2168,"date":"2018-11-12T10:03:23","date_gmt":"2018-11-12T17:03:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/?p=2168"},"modified":"2018-11-12T20:01:01","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T03:01:01","slug":"shna-board-meeting-minutes-10-08-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/?p=2168","title":{"rendered":"SHNA Board Meeting Minutes \u2013 10\/08\/2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Time and Location of the Meeting:<\/strong> the meeting was held at the Heights Community Center and was called to order at 7:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Board Members Present:<\/strong> James Montalbano, Rich Braziel, Sean Matney, Tom Ocken, Don McIver, Elizabeth Doak, &amp; Richard Hallett. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/2018-10-08-Sign-in-Sheet.pdf\"><em>Sign-in Sheet<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Others Present:<\/strong> Edgar Avila &#8211; Manager of Heights Community Center, Jill Berry, Bob Stembridge, &amp; Judge Michael Vigil <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/2018-10-08-Sign-in-Sheet.pdf\"><em>Sign-in Sheet<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Judge Michael Vigil:<\/strong> Judge Vigil explained why he wanted to be on the Supreme Court of NM. The Court of Appeals has had a lot of changes recently and he has been there for 15 years. He feels he is the best-qualified person for the NM Supreme Court. Judges should not be out raising money from special interest and Judge Vigil is using public financing for that reason.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One Albuquerque Group: <\/strong> There is a \u201cNeighborhood Summit\u201d being held on Tuesday 10\/23\/18 at the Albuquerque Convention Center to build strong relationships between City and Neighborhood Associations.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Heights Community Center:<\/strong> Edgar Avila, Manager of Heights Community Center said they will start on the new dance floor in early 2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lead &amp; Coal Two-Way: <\/strong>Tom Ocken &amp; Richard Hallett attended meetings with the City. A study by Joseph (see Jim\u2019s email) $30 Mil was spent on changing from 3 lanes to 2 lanes with bike lanes, bump outs, &amp; landscaping. The traffic and accidents are about the same. 85% of the people are going 5-8 miles over the speed limit. Traffic cameras cannot be used to control traffic and the data\/video are erased after 24 hours. Monitoring noise level requires approval from the state legislature. Lots of copper wire has been stolen for scrap.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Treasurer&#8217;s Report:<\/strong> Elizabeth Doak presented the Treasurer&#8217;s Report showing an unencumbered balance of $1,446.79. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverhillabq.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/2018-10-08-Treasurers-Report.pdf\"><em>See Attached<\/em><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Minutes: <\/strong>The September Board Meeting minutes were approved unanimously as corrected.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time and Location of the Meeting: the meeting was held at the Heights Community Center and was called to order at 7:00 pm.
