Board Members Present<\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 Richard Braziel, Gordon Reiselt, Katy Braziel, Craig Wallace, Alanna\u00a0 Apodaca, \u00a0and Tom Ocken. Attachment 1<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

\nPholphiboun – APD, Officer Toya – APD, and Misty Salaz – UNMH<\/p>\n

Meeting called to order<\/strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0 7:00 pm<\/p>\n

Board Minutes: <\/strong>The Board Minutes from 9\/10\/11 were approved.<\/p>\n

Redistricting: <\/strong>Ike Benton explained how the City Council Redistricting is moving forward and how it could affect District 3 and our neighborhood. We could be placed into a west side district.\u00a0 We believe the Silver Hill Neighborhood is too unique and too fragile to be absorbed.\u00a0 We need to get involved by writing emails, submitting petitions, testifying in public comment meetings.\u00a0 The mayor can veto the Council\u2019s plans to redistricting. Diane Dolan, Ike\u2019s assistant, will provide information. \u00a0Attachment 2<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Crime Information: <\/strong>Sandi Pino, Officer Toya, & Officer Pholphiboun \u2013 <\/strong>Far reaching conversations including\u00a0the crime map.\u00a0 This is a very flexible tool to let the community know what is happening in our neighborhood.\u00a0 Click on http:\/\/www.cabq.gov\/police\/crimeview\/index.html<\/a>, \u00a0click on Crime View Community, select the type\u00a0 of crime, location of crimes by Neighborhood Association (Silver Hill), and \u00a0date range of crimes.\u00a0 We also learned that just because a crime was reported the responding Officer can choose to not make a report.\u00a0 To insure a report is filed please request a copy of the report.<\/p>\n

Officer Appreciation Day:<\/strong>\u00a0 We received a letter of thanks for our $75 contribution.

What Went Right!<\/strong>\u00a0 We have found ourselves focusing on the problems in our neighborhood and don\u2019t often reflect upon the good things that happened.\u00a0 So I will try to include\u00a0some of the good things too.<\/p>\n
