SHNA Board Meeting Minutes – 04/09/2018

Time and Location of the Meeting: the meeting was held at the Heights Community Center on Buena Vista and was called to order at 7:00 pm.

Board Members Present: James Montalbano, Rich Braziel, Elizabeth Doak, Aaron Dubay, Don McIver, Tom Ocken, Jill Marley Berry, & Richard Hallett. Sign-in Sheet

Others Present: Jim Sattler, Gordon Reiselt, Denise Tibbetts, Edgar Avila Sign-in Sheet

Titan Construction: Jim Montalbano & Richard Hallett attended the Sycamore Neighborhood Association meeting with Titan Construction who is doing the work on the development on the North side of Central. They arranged to have titan come to talk to SHNA May Board Meeting.

Pop with a Cop: There will be an opportunity to meet with our local police on Thursday April 10th from 4-6pm at the Sonic drive-in at 6320 Central Ave SE.

Neighborhood Cleanup: There will be a neighborhood cleanup on Saturday April 28th. Gordon Reiselt will work with Jim to get it set up.

University Blvd Lighting: There are a lot of the lights out on University. The City is in the process of replacing all of their streetlights with LED lights that will have better light control, less light pollution, have longer life (lower maintenance), and be less expensive to operate.

Roosevelt Park: We will need to have a complete description of exactly what we will be doing and all of the facilities we will be using. Tents, Music, Hours, Activities, etc.  The board approved doing an event every Thursday starting June 21 and running thru August 30th.

1512 Silver: The new home being built at 1512 Silver is only going to have a single driveway. They also have purchased the lot to their west and plan to use it for parking.

Blocking Sidewalks: We are continuing to report front yard parking, cars & trashcans blocking sidewalk. Send pictures to Jim and 311.

Minutes: The March Board Meeting minutes were approved unanimously as corrected.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
