Meeting called to order: 7:00pm

2109 Gold Variance: The owners of 2109 Gold are trying to put in a small dwelling unit in the back of their house. Their architectural plans calls for 24’ long parking spaces instead of the 28’ long as required in the Sector Plan. Gordon told them that SHNA concern is that we don’t want to set a precedent that weakens the Sector Plan.

210 Sycamore: Katy & Gordon attended the Housing Advisory Appeals hearing on 210 Sycamore SE. The zoning committee inspected the property last month and found numerous safety violations. They now have 30 days to hire licensed contractors and get things repaired and brought up to code. They will meet again in 30 days

1924 Silver SE: Isaac Chavez has received approval from the Historic Committee to re-stucco, repair fencing, replace the roof, and redo the retaining wall on 1924 Silver SE. He is also seeking approval of plans to extend the house.

National Night Out: Tuesday, August 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 is national night out. Attachment 2

St Charles Borromeo Fiesta: The 80th Fiesta will be celebrated this year. We are trying to determine the exact dates.

Neighborhood News: The June/July 2014 Neighborhood News was passed around. Check it out! Attachment 3

Treasure Report: The SHNA currently has 27 members and $1,852.42 unencumbered funds.

Luminarias: We are looking for block captains to oversee putting up the Luminarias in the 1700 and 2000 blocks of silver. Please call Craig Wallace at 242-1453 if you would like to help.

Parking Passes: It is that time of year again when we all need to renew our parking Permits. Parking permits will be available starting on August 1, 2014. You can receive up to two free parking permits and a guest permit. Take the following documentation to the City of Albuquerque Parking Division, Plaza Del Sol, 600 2nd St. NW, room 510.

  • Valid Government issued ID Card
  • Student ID Card
  • Proof of residency (Utility Bill, Local Property Tax Bill, Paycheck Stub)
  • If not the property owner, current lease or notarized letter from property owner verifying a tenant agreement
  • Current Motor Vehicle Registration(s) for all vehicles requiring a permit  Attachment 4
