Others present: Ellen Cline
Meeting called to order: 7:04 pm
Board minutes: The Board Minutes from 4/11/10 were approved.
Treasurer’s report: The Treasurer’s Report was approved.
Front Yard Parking: Gordon sent email to Mathew Conrad about front yard parking at 2129 Silver two weeks ago and is still waiting on a response. Other properties, 1721Silver 2119 Silver, are also parking in their front yards. There is also front yard parking at1901 Silver on a concrete pad to the side of their double lot. This parking has been there for a very long time, is on a concrete pad, is not in front of the house, and is probably grandfathered.
Filming On University: University Avenue between Central and Coal was closed for filming during the night on May 6, 2011.
Historic Tour Cancelled: The tour we were hoping to do during Memorial Day weekend has been cancelled because of the short deadline and the Lead/Coal closures. Huning Highlands did their home tour on mother’s day. They had four houses, the press club, and the Greek Orthodox Church opened for viewing. They charged $10/person. Maria has recording equipment that could be used to deliver a prepared script for our walking tour. Tour will be scheduled next year.
Office of Neighborhood Coordination: Gordon contacted the Office of Neighborhod Coordination about our zoning problems but they were no more responsive than Zoning
Zoning:
401 Maple: Parking Garage Construction at Coal & Maple – SHNA has not received any paperwork on this but somehow the Gibsons have received a building permit. It appears that there may be set-back and other zoning issues. Gordon will check this out.
Smith’s Gas Station at 401 Yale: Smiths wants to build a gas station at 401 Yale. This location is not in our neighborhood but Gordon will check with University Heights Neighborhood Association to learn their position. See the Air Quality Permit.
AT&T Cell Tower: We are still opposing the new extra high cell tower.
Trash Bins & Dumpster: Trash bins are being left on the street because they residents have trouble moving them up and down the 6-8 steps in front of their house. Some dumpsters are over flowing and some dumpsters are being left out in the alleys, sidewalks and the street throughout the week.
Our Presbyterian Donation: Matt Sexton & Jim Montalbano will go to the Sycamore Neighborhood Association Board Meeting on Wednesday 5/11/11 at the Heights Community Center if Katy & Gordon can write up a history for them by then.
Board Training: Katy will set up board training during one of our regularly scheduled board meeting during the summer.
Meeting Adjourned: 8:50 PM
