Meeting called to order: 7:00pm
March Meeting Minutes: Approved with corrections. The April meeting was cancelled because the meeting space was locked.
Zoning Issues:
Presbyterian Site Development Plan: 95% of work is inside. Only 5% affects outside. Does not appear to create problems. Attachment 2
Grower’s Market: Presbyterian Hospital has sold the lot on the north side of Central and the new owner is not interested in allowing the property to be used as a Growers Market. Presbyterian will allow the Grower’s Market to be held in their parking lot at the SW Corner of Sycamore and Central. The market will be held every Tuesday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm starting on June 25th and ending on October 29. Attachment 3

Tree Installation Grant: The NM Energy, Minerals and Natural Resource Department is giving out $6,000 to install trees on public lands. John Dewitt will take the lead on this effort and Rich Braziel will help. The initial concept is to choose some locations on side streets that could be done inexpensively. The proposal requires us to provide 20% of the funding or labor in lieu of funding. Attachment 5
Speeding on Gold: Terry Apodaca spoke about the excess speeding that has been occurring on Gold. After some discussion it was decided that Terry will draft a letter, for Gordon’s signature, explaining the problems and requesting a traffic study.
Alley Cleanup: Ernie Metzgers has been directing the low risk prisoners in cleaning up our alleys a couple times a year. This has been a great help and we will continue work with him to do alley cleanups.
National Night Out: Doug Lute told us that Tuesday August 6th is National Night Out. We will discuss what we would like to do at the next board meeting.
